Here's How it Works:

Pre-readers (ages 3 - 6)

  • Sign up in our book
  • Receive your Game Board
  • Color in one space for each completed activity
  • Complete a segment of the game board to earn the number of raffle tickets in the bin at its end!

 

Readers (Ages 7 & up)

  • Sign up in our book
  • Receive your Reading Log
  • Keep track of each hour you read
  • Earn one raffle ticket for every three hours read. You must show both your Book List and your Timed Reading Log to collect your tickets.

Raffle tickets will be available until 15 minutes before closing.

 

Prizes

Two raffle winners from each age group will be drawn every Friday from June 29th through August 17th.

Prizes are provided by the Friends of the Belmont Public Library, with generous support from Belmont Toys.

 

The Genre Challenge: Just for Grades 4 - 6

  •  Read Books from 7 different categories from Fantasy to Folktales to Realistic Fiction
  • Write the titles and authors on the Genre Challenge Bookmark
  • Complete the challenge and return to the Children's Room by August 17th to earn an invite to:

Weekly Events, beginning July 5th.

 

  • Tuesday Noon Movies Come see animated versions of favorite picture books. Bring lunch!
  • Wednesdays at 2 p.m. These exciting programs are perfect for school-aged children
  • Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. Mostly music programs, Thursday mornings are most popular with preschoolers through early elementary school.
