Library Cards

When a child is able to write their full name by themselves, they may get their own library card, choosing a traditional library card or a smaller key chain card. The child must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to apply for a card. The Children's Room provides library cards to children in grades 6 and under. Adults and children in grades 7 and up should apply for library cards in the main part of the library.

A Belmont Public Library Card allows you to check out materials in the Children’s Room, as well is in the main library (the Adult and YA sections), and at all Minuteman Network Libraries.

The replacement fee for a child’s lost card is $1.00.
