Star Wars Symposium Saturday December 12th

Come to the Library on Saturday, December 12th, and hear our very own Library Director, Peter Struzziero, lead a symposium on all things Star Wars. Come dressed as a character for a costume contest, learn about the history of Star Wars , bring your show and tell items, join a trivia contest, watch funny videos & more!  For ages 5 and up, families welcome!

Books and Bites: Author Dorothy Stephens to Speak
Monday December 14th 11:00 AM Assembly Room

Author Dorothy Stephens will discuss and read from her novel A Door Just Opened at Books and Bites on Monday, December 14th at 11:00 AM in the Assembly Room of the Belmont Public Library.  Set in 1910 in rural New Jersey, this novel is filled with luminous prose, period detail, and vivid imagery.  The main character Anna dreams of being the first girl from her tiny farm community to go to high school.  An illegitimate baby, born to her older sister, alters Anna's life.

This month we are reading Death of A Red Heroine by Qiu Xiaolong. We are a large lively group, that meets once a month, every third Wednesday of the month. You can come every month, or just come when the book interests you. We choose fiction by international authors, and choose books 2/3 months ahead.
